• Registration on the HR system is strictly meant for all qualified unemployed educators that seek employment at schools under the KZN Department of Education as educators. Other employment opportunities within the KZN Department of Education are advertised through various media platforms e.g. newspapers and various government websites, gazettes etc. and normal application processes apply.

1. In your web browser, navigate to www.kzneducation.gov.za
2. On the Home Page, Click Educator Login
3. On the Login Page, click Forgot Password
4. Input your ID Number, New Password, and Confirmation Password, then click Submit. An email will be sent to your registered email address with a 4 digit OTP Code.
5. Go to your email account and open the email from KZN Education and note the 4 digit OTP Code.
6. Input your OTP Code in the OTP Screen and click Confirm Pin to reset your password. If the pin is not sent, click Resend Pin to request a new pin.
7. You may then return to the Sign In page and login with your new password

You may register using the web application available by following the steps below:

Web Portal Registration Process:

• Visit kzneducation.gov.za
• Click Recruitment > KZN Qualified Educators > Educator Registration Portal
• Fill in the form, inputting your personal information, qualifications and teaching subjects.
• It’s important to note that when you use a PC to do the registration you should have your certificates and academic records already scanned in softcopy. This is important since when you’re required to upload your certificates you’ll browse for them in your pc. When using your smartphone to register through the website there is no need to scan your documents. This is because the smartphone requires the applicant to take a picture of the certificate/s using the phone’s camera. Upon successful registration a pop up message displays that registration was successful.

• In your web browser, navigate to www.kzneducation.gov.za
• On the Home Page, Click Educator Login
• Login with your ID Number and Password
• Verify your Personal Information and update if needed,
• Verify your Qualifications and update if needed,
• Verify your Teaching Subjects and update if needed.

This error message comes up when there is a profile that is linked to the ID number the user is inputting during registration already on the database. It therefore prevents a second profile to be created with the same ID number.

You can go to the Sign In page and login using your ID number and Password.

• In the right menu, Click Update Profile to edit your personal information, then click Save at the bottom of the page.
• Click Qualifications to edit your qualifications, then click Save at the bottom of the page.
  • When adding Qualifications, always be sure to click the little save box just below the last document that you upload, before clicking the big green save button at the bottom of the page. Failing to follow this step will result in your qualification not being uploaded.
• Click Teaching Subjects to edit your subject choices, then click Save at the bottom of the page.
