The KwaZulu-Natal Department of Education in collaboration with the KwaZulu-Natal Department of Sports, Art and Culture, KZN Chess Association and KZN Sport Confederation hosted the welcoming ceremony of the 2025 Champions Jorah Soojay and Weilin Yan Grade 11 learners from Ashton International College in Ballito today, 01June 2025, at King Shaka International Airport.

Briefing Session in Progress at Mowbray Primary School

The District Director for UMzinyathi District in his presentation of the school's state of affairs, stated that the school is a Christian School that is fully functional with an enrolment of 105 learners from surrounding communities.

The KZNDOE’S Head of Department, Mr Nkosinathi Ngcobo indicated that the challenges faced by learners of Mowbray Primary School are unfortunate and require urgent intervention.
