Day 1 - 2 Winter Games – The KZNDOE took on the Northern Cape in a Rugby game


Day 1 Winter Games – The KZNDOE participated in the National Schools Winter Games, which officially kicked off at the various sports centres around Durban. Team KZN took part in various sporting codes, which included; Tennis, Volleyball and Chess.

Day 2 Winter Games – The KZNDOE took on the Northern Cape in a Rugby game held at the Kingspark outer fields.

Day 3 Winter Games – On the 3 rd Day of the National Schools Winter Games, Team KZN participated in Tennis and Netball. In Netball Team KZN attained 3rd position overall.

Day 4 Winter Games –The National Minister for Art, Culture, Sport and Recreation, the Honourable, Mr Nathi Mthethwa presided over the official closing ceremony of the National Schools Winter Games. Also present was the MEC For Arts, Culture, Sports and Recreation, the Honourable, Ms Hlengiwe Mavimbela. Minister Mthethwa awarded the top three provinces with overall results; hosting Province KZN attained position 3; Western Cape attained position 2 and Gauteng attained position 1 and was crowned the Champions for the 6th time in a row. Day 4 kicked off with KZN Girls rugby team taking on Limpopo at the Semi-finals. KZN went on to play the finals and lost to North West scooped Silver in Rugby. The KZN Boys Rugby team played against Western Cape and lost in the final scooped the Silver Medal.The KZN Girls under 15 Soccer scooped the Bronze Medal. The KZN Soccer Team under 17 boys scooped the Gold Medal, overall beating Western Cape in the Final match
