In his address to the Class of 2019, the HOD, Dr Nzama said, “We are here to endorse the Department’s expected 80% pass rate in the 2019 NSC Examinations.
We only have 50 days left to sit for the final examinations. We are here to provide support, in his Introduction he says, they, only person to speak to that, is the Honourable, Mr Kwazi Mshengu, who hails from Mooiriver, a lawyer, Masters in Law, Chairperson of tee ANC Youth League and Member of the Executive.
In addressing the Class of 2019, the MEC, said, “We are left only with 50 days before we start the Matric Examinations, avoid distractions, we must be ready and make our Province proud. We are proud of the 100% pass rate Menzi High School achieved for the last 2 decades. I told the HOD we must adopt this school and we going to renovate this school. Our appreciation to the principal and teachers for their dedication to duty by hosting extra lessons held after school and weekends. I was told the high enrolment is because of the quality education provided at the school. We must support the school, hence, the Department will be giving 60 computers to the schools, loaded with digitalized books or e-books called e-Learning. On top of that your school will receive an Interactive Board, operated with a Touch Screen and Office 365, I am happy school work is going on after hours. You are doing well, that's the way to go. We want you to pass with distinctions. Do yourself proud, your family, your school, your province and your country.
We want a 100% pass again in the school. Please be glued to your books, every minute, hour and day.
What you do in your remaining 50 days, your choices you make will determine your future. You must work hard and Excel. You must be the best in Grade 10, so where ever you are you just excel. In conclusion the MEC declared that Menzi High School will be a free fee school from next year.

In response, on behalf of the entire Provincial Class of 2019, Matric Learner, Ms Amahle Mathe, thanked the MEC and HOD for choosing Menzi High School to Launch the 50 Days Countdown. She promised to bag in 7 distinctions. A highly motivated learner, encouraged fellow learners to be focused during the last 50 Days and make the Province of KwaZulu-Natal proud with good results.
