Re: Congratulatory and Farewell message to Cassius R. Lubisi, PhD

Heartiest congratulation to Dr R.C. Lubisi on his appointment as Director-General in the Office of the President, w.e.f. 01 November 2010. As Supt.-General of Education in KZN his ability to bring all stakeholders to work together in the best interest of education was renown and this was clearly evident in the Senior Certificate results. His vast experience will certainly stand him in good stead in his new post. KZN's loss is definitely the Presidency's gain. May greater heights beckon!

Hambe kahle Dokotela, but our school is is still both NOT section 21 and 20 school , not yet resolved. Learners are suffering. Because of greedy individuals at Emangeni - Eshowe Circuit. The lives of those learners are doomed. Thanks and good-bye

Re: Congratulatory and Farewell message to Cassius R. Lubisi, PhD

Congratulations Chief on your new responsibility. Our conversations on socio-economic and sometimes political issues didn't leave me unchanged. I am still in awe, that God endowed one man with so much intelligence, so much wit and such a strong sense of social activism. Our short association as colleuages has been an expedition of discovery about what tradition has given birth to your valour, what culture your fortitude, what history your patriotism and what ancestry your agility of mind. You are indeed a true, consummate and compulsive intellectual. The presidency could not have elected a more capable person. CONGRATULATIONS.

Congratulations on your appointment ,well deserved ! I am pleased that KZN is now represented Nationally .
Best wishes for the future and remember, On being asked what ideal qualities the trustees should seek in a director of The Institute for Advanced Mathematical Studies at Princeton, Albert Einstein replied: "You should look for a very quiet man who will not disturb people who are trying to think." You have inspired me to obtain my Doctorate

To a man we all looked up to, yet were not scared to ask small favours of: when you leave us, your committment and dedication to your work in this department will surely leave a gaping wound in all of our lives. However, what is left sore here, will be made well there! All of the very best in your new position!

Mhlekazi

UYehova ngawo onke amaxesha uyabalondoloza abantu bakhe futhi akaphi ngasandla sodwa. ukulwile ukulwa okuhle unathi, ndinethemba nkananjalo ukuba nalapho uyakhona uyakuthi wenze njalo. Ugqatso lona alukapheli. You have without fail proven your ability to lead beyond our expectations. You have been an administrator, a leader, a brother, a comrade to us but above all you have been a pillar of strength, a becon of hope. You have stood the test of time. You have without fear carried the crown of thorns and I hope you will surely get to the crown of grace, the crown of victory. Indeed you have left some of us wondering. The interesting part is that even when you were angry at the officials on how things were done, that anger was always accompanied with humility, dignity and respect for us all. You made us believe in ourselves and that we can improve on the quality of everything we had to do. There has never been a stage in the history of the KZN DoE where we felt that education was in the safest of hands than the period of your tenure in ofiice. Ndikunqwenelela impumelelo, inceba namathamsanqa. Makube Chosi Kube Hele!!! Zigodlwana zemaz' endala zingalal' endleleni yazini kunyembelekile.

Dear Cas,

I write in my personal capacity but also on behalf of the staff and boys of Maritzburg College. We all wish to congratulate you on your elevation to the President's Office and to wish you the very best of luck with what will be a very demanding role. On reflection, I am not sure whether it will be more demanding than your current position; but I know you will handle the pressure with aplomb!

Thank you for your support of us at College in many different ways, including your support of our Outreach Programme and the fact that you chose to send Monde to our school.

A lot of water has passed under the bridge since our Maths Method days in the Education Faculty in Golf Road and I am sure our paths will cross again even after Monde matriculates.

I look forward to that.

Congratulations and welcome to Tshwane. You are coming to Pretoria at the time when some of us are keen to go back home, to the 'Kingdom of KwaZulu-Natal'. I know you have been here in Pretoria before.

You have been a role model for all of us in terms of giving back to the community and serving your country to the best of your ability. A key lesson in this era of a knowledge-based worker is for all of us to use a qualification as a tool of socio-economic transformation and productive citizenry rather than for social status.

On the 1st of November 2010, you will effectively assume the role of 'First Civil Servant' of the Republic of South Africa.

Siyakubongela Dokotela. Woza, sikulindele.
